Your chart has nine energy centers. Some are colored (defined). Some are white (undefined or open).
- Defined Centers = Consistent energy. You generate this. You can rely on it.
- Undefined/Open Centers = Inconsistent energy. You take this in from others. This is where you get conditioned.

- Projectors: Wait for the invitation - Don't offer advice or leadership unless recognized. When invited, your guidance lands.
- Manifestors: Inform before you act - Tell people what you're about to do (not ask permission). Reduces resistance.
- Reflectors: Wait 28 days - Sample the environment, wait a lunar cycle, then decide.

How to Read Your Human Design Chart
Start Here:
- Find Your Type - This is listed at the top of your chart. Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, Manifestor, or Reflector.
- Identify Your Authority - This tells you how to make decisions. Emotional, Sacral, Splenic, Ego, Self-Projected, Environmental, or Lunar.
- Look at Your Strategy - This is how you engage with opportunities. Wait to respond, inform before acting, wait for invitations, or wait 28 days.
- Notice Your Defined Centers - This is how you engage with opportunities. Wait to respond, inform before acting, wait for invitations, or wait 28 days.
- Notice Your Open Centers - The white shapes. This is where you're conditioned by others.
Everything else, gates, channels, profiles, builds on these five foundations.
You don’t need to understand every detail to start using your chart. You need to know your type, strategy, and authority. The rest unfolds as you experiment.

Is Human Design scientifically proven?
Human Design is a synthesis system, not a science. It combines ancient wisdom systems with modern concepts to create a framework for understanding energy and decision-making. Whether it’s “proven” matters less than whether it works when you test it. Run your chart. Follow your strategy and authority for 90 days. See what changes.
Do I need to know my exact birth time?
Yes. Your chart changes based on birth time. If you’re off by even 10-15 minutes, your chart could be different. Get your birth certificate or contact the hospital where you were born to find your exact time.
Can my Human Design change?
No. Your core chart is fixed at birth and never changes. What evolves is your awareness of your design and how much conditioning you shed over time. That said, ongoing planetary transits continue to activate gates in your chart, creating temporary influences on your energy and experience. Your blueprint stays the same; how you move through it deepens.
